Bellamy Mansion

Today on our way to the YMCA I took this picture of the Bellamy Mansion.... I am blessed to be surrounded by such historical beauty and such natural beauty. I really enjoy where we live! We are right on the coast of NC and on the Cape Fear River both so we get the beachy feel and then the historic/downtown/riverfront both. I try to 'step back' a lot during my days and just soak up all that's around me. We're never in a rush really it seems so it doesn't take a lot of effort to just chill and enjoy the moments. I was so thankful to be stopped at this red light in historic downtown Wilmington to enjoy this scene in front of 1st Baptist Church. and I'm glad to for technology that I could grab my camera phone real quick to snap this picture. I believe I'm a visual person...and a naturalist - God really speaks to me through my surroundings and through nature!

  1. You do live in a lovely part of the country! Whenever we visit my dad (in Pa, which I realize is quite north of you!), I am always amazed at how green it is--so many trees and flowers. Here in Colorado it is beautiful, but in a totally different way. Lots of mountains, some trees and all kinds of rocks!

It is always surprising meeting another Randi! It is my "real" name, what about yours? I had to ask since I know that everyone asks you that! ;)

  3. Randi - I will reply to you on your blog but I'll reply here too! :) Yes my "real" name is Randi. People always ask me that haha and ask me what Randi is short for....what would that be short for? Randala (that's one of my nicknames?) But really it is 'short' for something I guess because my name is Randi Jo

Anyway - nice to meet another Randi! :)

  4. Elizabeth,

Yeap! This is about 5 miles from our house. Any day I go to the Y to work out - we pass it! :) It's in historic downtown - we live across the river from downtown! :)
